Autism Awareness

As the Wander Wild Festival is taking place just in advance of Autism Awareness month, we would like to take the opportunity to start to introduce supports in our festival in order to make it Autism Friendly.  Be patient with us, we are all learning, but together we can raise awareness of Autism in Ireland, we can help everyone to have the #samechance to enjoy our festival and we can ensure, that year on year, we will improve.  After all, we all deserve to have the #samechance.

Quiet Zone

We have appointed a Quiet Zone which is Autism Friendly.  Please ask one of our volunteers where to access the Quiet Zone.

Sensory Zone Kid's Zone

We have added a sensory area in the Kid’s Zone where you will find fidget toys, bean bags & basically a chill out area.  This area is inside the Kid’s Zone, so if you would like a quiet area that is autism friendly, please ask any of our volunteers to direct you to the quiet zone.

Training

Various members within our team have completed training with ASiAM in advance of the Wander Wild Festival.  Please ask any of our volunteers who will be able to direct you to these specific members of our team. It is our goal that all Wander Wilders will be able to experience the festival in comfort and with the minimum of anxiety. We are here to help.

Signage

All of our venues will display the symbols below to ensure your ease of access to our festival.

For any queries, please visit us at our information office, located at Basecamp.
